all rain barrels are created equal.
Some
inexpensive internet barrels sound good, but by the time you
add optional features the price can climb $20 -$60 or more.
For example: The flexible down spout may be extra. Same with
the overflow hose. Is it to small, non-existent? Water
around your homes foundation can cause structural damage.

What about
pre-painted barrels? Barrel colors over the internet may
look great but not exactly what you had in mind once installed
next to your home. Experience shows us that pre-painted
barrels get scratched from shipping, handling, and
installation. Why pay $20 extra when you can do it for less
than $10 and 30 minutes with two cans of spray paint from
Wal-Mart.
We believe
that painting your rain barrel can be a fun family project.
You'll get the colors that are right for you and have extra
paint for touch up.
Standard Features
The
flexible spout makes installation a snap. Eliminates
the chance of making a bad downspout cut. Allows
barrel to be offset from downspout.
Our spigots won't leak or fall out.
We use a high output solid brass spigot installed
with a compression fitting and o-rings.
Avoid plastic
spigots. They won't hold up to UV & freezing temperatures.
Spigots threaded into barrel with tape, glue,
caulk, epoxy, or liquid weld will leak or fail
completely with just normal use.
1 1/2" overflow
hose works even in
torrential downpours. Anything smaller doesn't.
